The Greater Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce was organized in the early 1900s and incorporated in 1920 to promote business and community growth and development and to enhance the quality of life in the Muskogee area. The Muskogee Chamber is supported by membership investments and non dues revenue events that stay true to the mission statement. The governing and policy making responsibilities of the Chamber is vested in it’s board of directors. The Board of Directors are elected members of the Chamber, which are composed of directors and officers, associate directors, immediate past chairman and the chairman of Muskogee Development. The President of the Greater Muskogee Area Chamber of Commerce, the Executive Director of Muskogee Development, and the Manager and Mayor of the City of Muskogee serve on the board and are non-voting ex-officio members.
