Muskogee was thrust onto the world stage when country music star Merle Haggard recorded the hit song “Okie from Muskogee”, an ode to “livin’ right and bein’ free.” Nearly 40 years later, spending time in Muskogee is still about living right in a classic, free and easy western atmosphere.
