Chamber Committees

Ambassadors Committee
The Ambassadors focus on member retention. As the “Welcome Arm of the Chamber”, Ambassadors attend Business After Hours and Business Over Breakfast events, ribbon cutting ceremonies, ground breakings, and open houses. The Ambassadors Committee also features the Chairman’s Club, dedicated to increasing the membership of the Chamber throughout the year. The Ambassadors Committee usually meets at 12:00 noon, on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, in the Chamber Boardroom.

Paul Revere Legislative Affairs Committee
This committee monitors state and federal legislative activities on behalf of small businesses. The group also sponsors legislative and local public forums and town hall meetings to serve as the catalyst for proactive
community partnerships on matters affecting public policy. The Paul Revere Legislative Affairs Committee usually meets at 7:30 a.m., on the 3rd Friday of each month, in the Chamber Boardroom.

Retail Promotion Committee
Community-wide retail promotions, designed to support local merchants, is coordinated by this Committee throughout the year. Promotions include the recent Better Than Tax Free Savings Event, Muskogee’s Magic Holiday Giveaway, the Fall Festival of Fantastic Shopping, and a Shop Muskogee during the Azalea Festival promotion. The Retail Promotion Committee usually meets at 8:00 a.m., on the 1st Thursday of each month, at the Daily Grind, in Arrowhead Mall.

Downtown Muskogee
This committee is responsible for discussing and recommending revitalization strategies for the Central Business District of Muskogee. The Downtown Muskogee Committee usually meets at 7:30 a.m., on the 4th Friday of each month, in the Chamber Boardroom.

Agri-Business Committee
This Committee supports the Muskogee Regional Junior Livestock Show by hosting a Business After Hours in conjunction with the event. The group is also actively involved in supporting local agricultural businesses and develops an Agri-Business Resource guide. The Agri-Business Committee usually meets at 2:00 p.m., on the 2nd Wednesday of each month, in the Chamber Boardroom.

Success Expo Committee
This Committee plans and implements the annual Success Expo, a business-to-business marketing event in May, designed to provide a showcase for Muskogee businesses and to present a conference program to meet the education and training needs of Muskogee area employees. Okie from Muskogee Committee
This committee is working with other entities to promote a new sense of pride and spirit in Muskogee, to project a positive image within Muskogee and beyond, and to publicize the benefits of living and doing business in Muskogee. Committee projects have included the Muskogee product line, banners around town promoting reasons to be proud Okies from Muskogee, and the new Okie from Muskogee Cookbook. BAM! Committee
This Committee coordinates a monthly Business and Marketing breakfast, a networking event you won’t want to miss! For details on committee meetings and upcoming BAM! events, call the Chamber office!
