Bacone College
Oklahoma’s oldest continuing center of higher education began in 1880. Bacone College is a private liberal arts college offering associate and baccalaureate degrees. Enrollment of 830 (spring 2002) full-time students, with seven resident halls to accommodate the on-campus students on the beautiful 200-acre hilltop setting. Campus life is active with sports programs from basketball and soccer to football and rodeo. Bacone is a pacesetter offering programs such as nursing, radiography, Indian art, business, teacher education, criminal justice and a wide array of adult education programs.

Connors State College
Connors has three campuses (two in Muskogee and the main campus in Warner) that serve a diverse student population of 2,500. Connors offers a wide range of classes and degree programs for both traditional, recent high school graduates, and the nontraditional students, who manage families and jobs. There are mini-mester and eight-week courses available as well. Classes are also offered in flexible formats, via distance education-interactive video and computer based multimedia. The current articulation policy of the Oklahoma System of Higher Education allows students to complete their Associates of Arts or Science Degree and AAS at CSC and transfer the general education requirements into a bachelor’s degree at any senior institution in the State of Oklahoma system.

Indian Capital Techonology Center
Indian Capital Technology Center offers customized training for business and industry, adult training and education, and daytime classes open to high school juniors, seniors, and adults in preparation for the workplace or advancement into fields offered in higher education. ICTC offers 19 full-time day programs, including classes through the Oklahoma School of Science and Mathematics, a nationally certified practical nursing program, and offers students a head start on college. In-district tuition is $1.00/clock hour, $1.50/clock hour for practical nursing and evening classes.

Northeastern State University
Northeastern State University provides undergraduate and graduate learning for bachelors and masters degree programs, and a doctoral degree in Optometry. The Muskogee Campus offers upper level and graduate courses in the areas of education, business, general studies, nursing, industrial management, and classes in other disciplines. Recently NSUM opened The Synar Center, a 40,000 square foot facility housing offices, classrooms, computer lab, conference rooms, and vending area. The NSUM Conference Center provides a pleasant and attractive setting for a professional conference, retreat, wedding, reception or working meeting.
